Realization

I'm here at sharky's and I realize something 2 things...

A. I drink way too much
B. I inspire others to drink way too much with me.

I'm a bad influence... I think I may be the devil...

I need to influence people to do better rather than get enembrated or smoke too much...

Have an awesome night and a better tomorrow!

WSE Studios Goals for 09

Well I've verbally stated these goals to friends and family in passing, but I thought I would share with the community. The GRR Podcast last year has done wonderfully and better than I ever hoped with 8 episodes posted we had 300 listeners view the player via the website and ITunes. We started a band and have been practicing off and on since august with 3 songs recorded and at least 3 new songs on the way. We preformed a live show and I am extremely happy with the Podcast and want to see it grow. That said when I started the GRR I knew it was just going to be a spring board to something much larger... White Stag Entertainment.  Sooooo with the coming of a new year comes setting the bar higher for not just me or the GRR but the company as a whole.  Therefore here are the goals for White Stag Entertainment in 09.
  1. Changing the brand name from White Stag Entertainment to WSE Studios (New Domain name wsestudios.com)
  2. Build new site for WSE Studios not only to promote the GRR but other projects on the way... PWND!, Project GRR Band, GEEKS!, custom website design and web software company.
  3. Redo GRR website to look more modern.
  4. Continue the forward momentum of the GRR and use GRR to cross promote... (New Episodes start recording in Feb. 09)
  5. Have done by end of year the first draft of the GEEKS! script
  6. Give a real name to the Project GRR Band
Hopefully this will be another great year of growth and these moves / goals will help move WSE Studios into the right direction...

Soooo Everyone HAPPY NEW YEAR... and I'll catch you on the flip... have a great night and a better tomorrow....

The Grr Podcast

So I know I have not been on in a while to all my friends on LJ (mainly cause you guys are on the myspace), but I thought I would leave an announcement here about a project that myself and 3 other goofballs have been up to for the past 3 months.

The Grr Podcast

White Stag Entertainment presents the first public hilarious creation of Guido Cervone, the Grr. The podcast that presents all the retarded things that we see in the world and laugh about in the dark corners of your living room while nobody is watching.

Listen as Guido, Polo, Lars & "Intern" look for the stupidest things in the world and dissect them, the way you mother told you not to, by making fun of them. Each episode we go further and further down the rabbit whole as we talk with red necks, make fun of pie fornicators, guys that think they know their rock trivia, and nicknames for penises.

Also featured on the show are guests we find from around the studio and some great musical guests from around the dallas / fort worth area.

So come check us out... Episode 4: The Wrath of Guido, goes up this Friday and Saturday we record show number 5 (so if you know the number to the studio, aka the cell, call between 7pm - 10pm CST to get asked questions about sabotage, the new black sheriff, or almost anything else that intern can think of in 5 seconds)

Almost like it was picked out from a scene from a movie...

Almost like it was picked out from a scene from a movie... this is the final accounts of my life as an in-store FireDog Technician

I go to my work PC for the last time… Like looking for music at a jukebox, I look for the most fitting song to play as a farewell song to my final departure from a place I called my second home since August 16th of 2006. I click through folder looking for one musical piece that defined my time there and what I came to do, an anthem of sorts to tie up every moment that I had there.
I scroll down a list of songs and like the neon lights of a bar in night I find the song.
I double click the song and start the music player on the computer. I picked up the phone, dial the intercom and tell few people left at the store, “This is Greg’s farewell song.” Then I put the receiver next to the speaker and press play on the music player.

I've paid my dues -
Time after time -
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime -
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face -
But I've come through

I jumped up on top of the services counter and start to sing as the music played over the intercom...

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world –

The closing manager and most closing employees start to flock towards the bench and I keep singing kneeling on the bench with air guitar in hand…

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls -
You brought me fame and fortuen and everything that goes with it -
I thank you all -
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise -
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race -
And I ain't gonna lose –

Then everyone around starts to sing with me in the triumphant farewell of their tech

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world –

After the song ends, I sit on the counter exchanging numbers with some of my friends from the store and saying “Give me a call some time, we’ll go shoot pool some time and drink some beers.”
Some people were surprised that this evening was the last time I would be part of team mesquite and said, “we’ll miss you” etc. I told them I would be back by to pickup my check.
And before I left through the side door, my store director made store announcement over the intercom and said a nice little speech before I went out the door. We hugged and I walked out of the building.

Circuit City we shared laughs together. We complained to each other. We dressed up on Halloween. We rocked out at the Tech Bench with the musical selections of DJ Guido. We made fun of customers together. We were a team. And I will never forget you guys.

And I close on the final chapter of the “Geeks.” Trilogy… “Geeks. Revenge of the Retail Empire”

Thanks Mr. Gates for the Phat Loot

From apcstart.com

While Bill Gates was in Romania celebrating Microsoft's new global technical support centre in the nation's capital, Bucharest. The Romania's president, Traian Băsescu, said piracy rocks -- and he recently thanked Bill Gates for it during a conference.

Romania Could Not be more proud.

"Piracy helped the young generation discover computers. It set off the development of the IT industry in Romania," flaunted the Romanian president.

Piracy "helped Romanians improve their creative capacity in the IT industry, which has become famous around the world," he continued, "Ten years ago, it was an investment in Romania's friendship with Microsoft and with Bill Gates."

Throughout the joint news conference, Gates apparently didn't utter a word. No doubt he was overwhelmed by the deep sense of involuntary charity.

YARRRRRRR!!!! Thanks be givn' to Mr. Gates for providn' the world with some nice bounty

Geeks 3: Revenge of The Retail Store

And thus again the vicious cycle of being a simple A computer technician plummets into another Retail chain hoping to find more material for my trilogy of Geeks. (well that sounds sad and depressing).

Let me paint a picture of what goes on in me "career". I work for one of the biggest electronics chains for 6 adventurous years. I meet a slew of interesting people I considered friends that came and went like the sun rises and falls. Some of who I still keep in contact, few I considered good friends, one I considered close. All in all times were good. It was like 6 years of living in the eternal "Clerks." movie, I enjoyed my time there till the end when everything went down hill. I spent a quarter of my life serving the computer needs of the people of mesquite and had a decent time doing it.

Then once I got canned from this Goliath of a retailer, I settle for a small inhome computer service company. When I orignally signed up I thought working 6 days a week and extra would help in the meager-pay department, but little did I know I was to become a low paid glorified house keeper. When going to work became a list of chores to do every day. I've also had to be a collections agent for this company and camp out in front of a pre-school to make sure the principal would pay here bill. When I signed the contract for this job I was lied too and feel that I was bamboozled. So this last for about a year.

Then this past week I got a call from an old senior of my from the giant retailer and was offered a job back in another retail store for another quassi sweet deal and I was hooked in. I've been applying for computer support for the past 4 months with no luck. Then I get this call and I take it. I found an avenue out of house keeper hell and join the ranks of retail (again). So what am I trying to say in all this I got a new job, its better pay then smal business and I get benefits back and the best part (I get two days off in a week again).

What proceeds from here on out is rambling, (you can stop reading here if you want).

Ever since I lost my gig as a DA in the geeksquad I feel like I have really lost focus and direction in my life. I lost my awesome job, my great apartment, my drive to finish school and I just feel so mundane and bored with life. I try to mask it with parties, bars, and booze, but in the end its just doesn't help. I know it wasn't that long ago but I still feel like I'm trying to party like when I was 22 when everyone else has grown up and moved on. Leaving those scenes and starting to get settled in life for the long haul.I know I need to go back to therapy and find a med that is right for me and maybe this new job will finally help me achieve that, but fuck its like an up hill battle right now. I try to draw life as just peachy but like everything it is another curtain drawn to hide other things aka problems, fears, pain. I just feel so lost the world is spinning around me and I'm getting so nousious and sick.  I've lost the enjoyment of the simple things in life.  Excitement of playing a new video game or getting a new CD.  The happiness and warmth of being in the company of good friends.  I just feel like an empty husk.
I know this is extremely depressing and I need to slap out of it.  It's just the rambling of a crazy coot whose lost his mind to too much television and porn.
I'll bee better tomorrow, just needed to get alot out.  (thanks for reading this far, your prize... you get to read a part of myself I hardly show)

Goodnight everyone and remember I once said, "The Secret of life is not trying to understand it, but just living it."

Tales from Awesome-Sauce Land

Good morning ladies and gents, welcome back to the show.

Lets start off with the "queen for a day" queen tribute band concert on friday. This was probably one of the best concerts I've been too in a long ass time in a bar. Gregory Finsley, singer of the band, looks and sounds like freddy mercury. As soon as I got to firewater I could here a song being played and I started to think its the ghost of freddy back from the dead, hoooooleeeee crap. I stood there through out the concert and was able to sing about 95% of all the songs played that night (yes folks I will admit it I am a huge queen nerd and could sing to you the almost the whole catalog *cough, no homo, cough*) The folks at the concert mainly consisted of people that were either bikers (I didn't know the queen was so huge in the biker community), wild and crazy drunk folks and a lady that would periodicly start dancing on her table and her girl friend dancing with her from the floor(there was good times had by all).

P.S. For people that wanna go see them, they will be back at firewater in early august

Now Saturday was a flash back from the days of old in Awesome-Sauce Land. Started from immediately leaving work to head to J and M's house and had an old fashion 4th of july barbeque. Ate some burgers and hot dogs, Potatoe Salad, etc. all the feel good food of the holidays. Also played some Soul Caliber 2 and with my worthy opponent, M, I was bested 4 outta 7 times. I then parted ways from J & M's and went to, Summerpaloozathon 33 1/3: Justin goes to War.

Folks I haven't been to a party of this caliber in a long ass time. It reminded me of the parties at my parents place marco and I used to throw back in the day. When I got there I was greated by most of my old college buddies with open arms, extremely good times. I got pretty drunk there for a while and it was nice. I yelled at a cop through the bathroom door, jumped a girl with the last name "Kegg" (she openly admitted she like hentei and her last name is Kegg come on), played random drunken phone call game, convinced a really drunk guy that everytime he went up to some guy to give him a hug he had to yell "no homo", that had me cracked up for a good hour. The party was just missing the drunken sing along and it would have been P-E-R-F-E-C-T. So Justin and Kyle I salute you for hosting Summerpaloozathon 33 1/3: Justin goes to War.

All in all another great weekend in the summer of 06'

Thank you every one for dropping by and never tell a big italian guy your last name is Keg... bad things will happen

Everyone have a happy 4th ...

know back to your normally scheduled days
